About me
I am an independent consultant with a passion for planning, monitoring, evaluation and learning, networks and strategic thinking. I have supported a range of NGOs, networks and governmental institutions across the world in developing and improving their PM&E system. I facilitated trainings, meetings and conferences and provided support in organisational learning and strategy development. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, I was working at ‘The Global Partnership for the Prevention of Armed Conflict (GPPAC)’. As the Coordinator for Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning I have set up a network-wide PME system based on Outcome Mapping and Outcome Harvesting. I hold a Master degree in ‘Intercultural Work and Conflict Management’, a Master in International studies and a bachelor in Social Work and Psychology. I’m fluent in Dutch, English and German and speak French to a lesser extent.
I’m a facilitator of the Outcome Harvesting Community and a steward of the Outcome Mapping Community.

Services
I believe that monitoring and evaluation works best when it is tailor-made to the needs of an organisation. To achieve that, methods may be adapted or combined. I enjoy developing monitoring and evaluation procedures that stimulate learning and innovation. I have a keen interest in applying M&E in complex situations and in exploring how systems theory can help evaluation. In addition, I am used to working in conflict environments.
Although I am working with different M&E methods, I am particularly specialised in Outcome Mapping and Outcome Harvesting. I’ve contributed to developing the Outcome Harvesting approach and am hence working with it since its very beginning. I used Outcome Harvesting first within a network organisation to set up the network wide monitoring system and conduct evaluations. I’m a facilitator of the Outcome Harvesting community and a steward of the Outcome Mapping learning community.

My publications on Outcome Harvesting
Chapter 10 in this book on Developmental Evaluation is written by myself together with Ricardo Wilson-Grau and Paul Kosterink.
Responding to evaluator and instructor demand, this book presents a diverse set of high-quality developmental evaluation (DE) case studies. Twelve insightful exemplars illustrate how DE is used to evaluate innovative initiatives in complex, dynamic environments, including a range of fields and international settings. Written by leading practitioners, chapters offer a rare window into what it takes to do DE, what roles must be fulfilled, and what results can be expected. Each case opens with an incisive introduction by the editors. The book also addresses frequently asked questions about DE, synthesizes key themes and lessons learned from the exemplars, and identifies eight essential principles of DE.
